Up for auction is the game used away warmups that Lou Tsioropoulos wore when he was with the University Of Kentucky Wildcats 1950-54. Lou's #16 has been retired by the Wildcats and Lou is a Wildcats legend as he played on the 1951 Championship team and he was with them when the team went undefeated. Lou played for the Boston Celtics for 3 seasons and was on their 1957 and 1959 Championship team as well. When Lou played for the UK he was 6-5 and weighed 200 pounds. The dark blue warmups have survived in great shape, Lou only had one pair of these for his whole career at UK so they show ware. The snap metal buttons and zipper all work fine with the buttons missing most of the blue paint. The #16 is clearly labeled in the pants and jacket. The item has some rubs, snags and marks and has some staining but nothing more then you would expect for a 58 year old item. Some stains show on the blue and the strips as well, with the back of the jackets "Kentucky" and Wildcat being very clean for the era. The lining on the inside of the jacket has mellowed to a lighter brown, the lining has some small holes and the bottom waistband has a small hole on the inside. The pants have some tiny holes at the bottom of the pant legs, at the seam and the crotch area has been sewn a few times. The pants show more ware and marks then the jacket. Truly a Kentucky Wildcats fans dream here. Items like this do not come up for auction often. I guarantee this is an original. Great vintage item.
