This is really a very beautiful Louis Vuitton Steamer trunk. I believe it is dated the late 1800,early 1900 it is a hat trunk with two removable baskets. It has two tags on the inside one Louis Vuitton tag, and one Roos Bros tag a department store in Sanfrancisco owned by Mr Adolph Roos and his brother, Achille both came to this country in 1861 from Alsace France.Roos Bro opened Their Doors In 1866-1885.For more info on the Roos Bro go to california biography project.The trunk is not only a part of Louis Vuitton but it is also a part of Sanfrancisco history.For its age it is in very good condition it does have a board that need to be repaired but it is not a major problem.For more info on this trunk you can call Terry at This is a large trunk measuring 23"x271/2" x351/2", For more photos go to my facebook page under terry curry, there is a album listed LV trunk on ebay.
