LOUIS XIV TOWLE 3 PIECE TRAY, SUGAR, CREAMER This is one of the loveliest sterling sugar and creamer sets that I have ever offered. The pattern is Towle Louis XIV, and the tray is marked patented Dec. 28, 1919. Tray measures 9 1/8 inches length and 6 1/4 inches wide. Lovely embossed and chased detail on all three pieces. Each piece is marked J. J. S. J. Co. I believe this is the retailer. The creamer measures 4 1/4 inches to top of handle, and the open sugar measures 5 1/2 inches across from handle to handle and 1 1/2 inches in height. The open sugar is stamped Patented, March 17, 1925, as well as the creamer. Detail to this charming antique Towle set is exquisite. The repousse detail on rim and borders, along with the embossed cartouche and charming size and porringer handles on open sugar- all combine to create a most charming and lovely effect. Condition is excellent- no major problems- only a very few minute dings.- I mention this only for accuracy. The overall appearance is that of a set that has been well taken care of. This would be an outstanding addition to a collection, and a joy to use!! Please take a look at many new items added daily.
