Rare LOUIS XVI OBELISK Miniature STATUE CLOCK c1790This fine and early clock is made in France around 1790 at the end of the 18th century, the French Louis XVI period. White veined marble base, marble obelisks with upper parts rounded, with lower a square pedestal . Central on top a bisquit carved figure holding flowerals. All around with gilt bronze reliefs, ornaments, chains with tafts and corner finials with chains. Dial door and back door both with glass window. White porcelain enamel dial with Arabic hours and minutes numerals and very fine pierced and gilt Louis XVI hands. Early French clockwork with pendulum on silk suspension, 8 days going work, good running condition. Measurements : base 7.5" x 3.5", high 10.75”, door diam. 3.5”. The gilt and all over in good condition (left arm of figure shows repaired). Highest bidder pays $ 98.00 SHI for worldwide shipping by insured priority airmail, free shipping to Netherlands.
