Louis XVI style carved giltwood wingback, originally purchased by my grandfather from a Mr. Thiessen an associate he knew in Germany just before World War II, as the story goes, approx. 1935. Scrolling bead-and-channel frame with a basket of a flower centered above each wing divider and decorated continual rosettas and scrolled leaves on the handrests , with padded back and arms, on fluted legs with ankle collars. Back Height 32 1/2" Width from armrest to armrest 26 1/2"
