Often, we will offer items that are vintage, or antique in nature.Up for auction, we have a Louisville, KY, N.M. Uri & Co, Parker Rye Whiskey Mini Jug! This mini jug is heavy, and in extremely good vintage condition. T is some roughness on the widest part of this jug, which were made in manufactuing & are all glazed over. T are a few irregularities in the stoneware/clay, again made in manufacturing. I found no cracks, no chips, no flea bites & no repairs. This mini jug measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall, & approximately 3 1/2 inches wide--with a 1/2 inch opening at the top. A definate must to anyone's collection! N M URI & CO.
Uri had a wholesale liquor business in Paducah since 1872. In 1897 he joined Bernard and Isaac Bernheim to form Bernheim Bros. & Uri . He was a brother-in-law of I W Bernheim (of "Old Harper" fame) . Uri sold out in 1892 to form N. M. Uri & Co. and started operating the International Distillery at Hunters Station. He sold whiskey until prohibition. T also was a branch in Chicago.
