BRAND NEW LOUISVILLE SLUGGER TPX CATALYST X1 CB81 BASEBALL BAT - 33"/30oz Retails at $299.99 THIS BAT IS BRAND NEW IN THE ORIGINAL WRAPPER! I coached a boys competitive travel baseball team for several years and finally called it quits when the boys all graduated high school this past summer. Every year I ended up buying the team all brand new bats, and in many cases, had leftover bats that ended up stored in the basement. It's time for a little house cleaning and I"m going to be selling quite an accumulation of baseball equipment over the next couple of months. Louisville Slugger TPX Catalyst High School Baseball BatX-1 Composite Technology 2 5/8 inch barrel, -3oz, BESR certified Louisville Slugger endcap X-1 Composite Technology--100% aerospace grade graphite. With composites, performance and durablity are dictated by the angle of the fibers and the wall thickness of the barrel. Our high-strength fibers allow us to use the best angle for performance while keeping the barrel wall thin for maximum flexibility. A specially-designed toughened epoxy resin is embedded in the graphite fibers, locking the graphite layers together, forming a light, durable thin wall design. Our exlusive manufacturing process eliminates air between graphite layers, giving players the ultimate combination of performance and durability. Multiple layers of aerospace grade graphite. Our high strength thin graphite fibers allow us to use more layers for durablity and still design a light, thin wall ofr bat performance Our exclusive computer-designed pattern precisely positions the angles of graphite layers, resulting in a stiff handle/transition and an extra long flexible barrel for a huge sweet spot and outstanding performance. TIP OF THE DAY: Many people are under the impression that you have to buy from an authorized dealer and have a valid receipt in order to have warranty protection. This simply isn't true! The last thing that Louisville Slugger, Easton, DeMarini, etc. need are unhappy customers who shelled out anywhere from $200 - $300 (or more) for a bat that didn't meet performance expectations. During my year's of coaching, I probably had only a handful of bats (4-5) that failed prematurely in some way. In each case, I returned the bat directly to the manufacturer along with a letter explaining the situation. Every time, I ended up receiving a new bat in the mail from the manufacturer - free of charge. If the model was no longer available, the manufacturer typically sent me the latest equivalent model. I'm sure the bat manufacturer's might not appreciate me sharing this information, but it's how things actually work if you are willing to invest a little time on your end and write a thoughtful letter.
