We are pleased to offer for sale here a lovely Edwardian sterling silver bon bon or nut dish, which has lattice cutwork decoration, and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1905. We cannot identify the maker as the mark is rubbed,. Although not in general use today, these silver dishes still look lovely on the table, but could also be used on a dressing table to hold jewellery perhaps . Reasonably good condition for the age, with no visible splits, or repair, but it has had a couple of light knocks to the base, and the rim is a little bit wavy from use. It also shows the usual surface scratches in keeping with use. It measures 6 1/2 "/16.5cm across x 3"/7.5cm x 2 "/5cm high, and weighs 58g/1.86 troy oz Please see the photographs which can be enlarged to give an accurate as possible description of condition to assist you.
