A superb Sterling Silver Edwardian 1903 English Cigarette Case made by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd . Superb hammered finish to both sides, concaved to the back to fit to the contours of the chest. The case comes with the benefit of being un-monogrammed and has a blank cartouche to the front, still retains most of the original gold gilt to the inside . Hallmarks to be found inside the case in two places. Press to release catch, snaps shut tight and correct. Produced by highly collected silversmith makers, nice period item.
