Lovely Victorian pincushion box. This is a beautiful example with exquisite silver plate open work design and lovely silver ball feet. The lid opens to store sewing items or can be used for jewelry. It measures about 5 inches in length, 3 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The lid which is hinged still has its purple blue velvet, although showing its age. I did not polish the piece, we feel its up to the customer if they choose to do so. It actually looks lovely with the aged tarnish. A lovely Victorian sewing item to add to one's collection.
