This is a lovely gold filled Orator Stop New Old Stock wristwatch, Swiss made circa 1950. This watch has never been used before and has the added bonus of just been cleaned and serviced by my watchmaker.
The very nice off-white dial has golden Arabic numerals and golden markers, golden hands and a red centre seconds hand with black outer seconds numerals. The dial is signed: Orator Stop, 17 Rubis, Swiss made. By pulling out the crown, the watch stops. This is very rare for such an early watch. The watch is lying in a gold filled square snap-on-back case with nice lugs. The back of the case is signed: Fond Acier Inox and is numbered: 321J 1081. The perfectly working movement is signed: Orator, Swiss, 17 Rubis. Signed: Orator, Diameter: 29mm with crown, 27mm without crown, circa: 1950. This watch is coming with a lovely black genuine leather strap. I have been in the antique watch business for the last twenty years. It started of as a hobby and the love for nice watches. With the time it picked up from hobby to a full time business. Hence it is a business, but it has not taken away my love and respect for every watch individually.
