A very nice Johnson Brothers Platter in the popular and long standing Old Britain Castles - Blue - Pattern. Featuring a highly detailed and idyllic transfer ware scene of Canterbury Castle c. 1791, rimmed by lovely floral patterns , this piece measures 14" long by 11 3/4" across. It has the England (not 1883) back stamp. It's in excellent used condition - no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no wear. It does have light surface scratching from use which is not really seen unless examined closely. It displays beautifully. What a marvelous piece to add to your table, collection and décor.
