Thank you for noticing this sweet old pair of Derby figures. In D. G. Rice's book, English Porcelain Animals of the 19th Century, they're called "white and gilt deer at lodge, with bocage". This exact pair is pictured in this book on page 156. A polychrome version of the doe is pictured on page 124 in Peter Bradshaw"s book, Derby Porcelain Figures. This is the small size - the buck or hind is 3.75" and the doe is 3.5". They're both wonderfully detailed and the gilt accents are nicely done. T is a "3" incised on the bottom of each - presumably to describe their size. Both have had restoration to their bocages and ears, and the male has restored antlers. The color of the restoration is beige and is flat - I have a set of Derby Senses which had restoration done the same way. I believe this is the older or "museum" method which wants the restoration to be visable so that no one will be fooled into thinking they're perfect. Both heads, bodies, feet, legs, and bases are fine except for stray ash marks - no restoration done or needed in any of these cases. It's always nice and little more difficult to find a pair of these old figures.I always combine postage, too, for multiple auctions whenever it is possible.
