WHAT A LOVELY PAIR OF EARLY 19th CENTURY TABLESPOONS. Also used for supping the soup. EACH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a good weight and by a very special maker indeed. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely pair of solid silver hallmarked serving spoons of good gauge and weight.Hallmarks are excellent and crucially the SN mark is very clear on each. Each is assayed in Dublin and dated 1819-year letter Y.Both have a maker's mark for very good and highly sought after maker Samuel Neville-refer to Jackson's pocket edition page 644. This is a lovely late George III lot and a must have. A really delightful and scarce Irish pair. Their length is a fraction over 9 inches. These lovely spoons are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of antique table silver. Pattern is fiddle. Weight of actual silver is a very good 146 grams (4.69 troy ounces),each piece is made of thick gauge silver throughout. The condition is very good.Each is engraved with a lovely lion rampant crest,definitely no erasures either.They still have plenty of life left in them yet!
