This is a really lovely Victorian box. This example as you can see is a really lovely colour. Now for the detailed bits! Size is 34'' wide, 17'' high and 18'' deep. The box has its original lock and keep. The hinges and handles are original too though some screws have been replaced. As with most Pine boxes, there has been some worm (now treated). The plinth has been replaced with a genuine piece of Victorian Pine, the escutcheon is a professional standard period copy. The box has a very useful divider which slides out if or when it is not required. As you will know if you have visited me before, I only sell furniture I would be happy to own myself, and which will have a good resale value if your needs should change in the future.
