Hi folks, and here is a nice Smiths "Empire" Pocket Watch which was made in the UK in the 1950s. I have carried out the usual complete strip, ultrasonic clean and oil and total rebuild AND FITTED A NEW CRYSTAL. The watch winds well, runs well and keeps great time........... a really good daily reliable work horse. The lovely 50s dial is a classic Smiths, with black matching hands. This watch is a good, solid and reliable timekeeper.........a couple of minor dents and a large area of brassing on the rear cover, in fact all the back cover has had the chrome worn off but I must say, I thinks it looks rather attractive. An unusual watch, which exudes individualism and a certain personal class........mechanically, she is running as well as she did when new in the 1950s but cosmetically, she is showing signs of her age............like my wife really!!..............only joking.. You will not be disappointed............no one has that has purchased a watch from me...........
