This is a beautiful Rose of Sharon quilt that is hand appliqued and handquilted. Lots of attention to detail and a lovely pink and white prairie point border on three sides. the quilt is too big to show it all in the pictures!

This quilt is made from a quilt kit and it is made so that you can do a pillow tuck and the star shape will be centered on a full bed and still have plenty of overhang.

The fabrics are cotton. The appliques are done by hand and t are so many stitches that I thought they were machined on--had to get the magnifying glass out to verify that they were hand done!. The other slight I will give this quilt is that the green fabric only, leaves and buds, doesnt look like the edges were turned under before being appliqued and a few threads are showing. I suspect that they wont unravel as t is so much hand stitching around them. Please look at the last photo for a close up. I am being pretty picky but its gift giving season...

Handquilting is done in wonderful patterns, a traditional feather wreath, furrows and a stylized tulip swag along the edges. 7spi, very neatly done. The handquilting is done in pink thread so this quilt also looks lovely from the back.

The alternating white and pink triagnles of the border are well made and in perfect condition. No stains, spots or wear of any kind.

Thin poly fiber filling, bright white cotton backing and a huge 74" x 100" and does not include the triangle border.
