I will not be available for questions on this item until Fri. evening, Oct. 11. Thanks so much. I would like to add that the opening bid on my items has nothing to do with their value, I am confident you will know what the piece is worth to you. I seldom start anything over 9.95 and this is no exception. I know very little about pottery and I hope the photos will be of some assistance. I can tell you what I see and as far as condition, I am not qualified to state that with any accuracy. This is very large and heavy, (stands approx. 8", 9" opening and 12" approx. from handle to same) it is marked as shown, Roseville USA 669-8". I believe the pattern is freesia and the flowers are in a pale purple/lavender and cream with pastel yellow overtones. The base is green I think, I have seen their blue and this does not appear to be that. I see no signs of repair and will address what I think are issues. Any chips will be on the base ring, not the body. In the photo of the bottom, I tried to show the two I see. The one is small and is a new one I think, light under. The other is an older one and has darkened. These are not a terrible detraction but they are present. You will also see what looks like a V chip, this is factory and the green goes into that, so not a chip, just a small factory glitch. On one handle, you will see a line (I hope) and this extends to the pot rim.....to me, it looks like a craze line, it is very difficult to see and hard to feel as well. I think it is a paint surface type, but again, I am no expert. The line just inside the ring on the bottom does not go through to the inside, I do not know if it is factory or other, it is older. This came complete with some very old wire stemmed flowers and I am assuming the center interior base divot is a result of those. This does not reach the exterior, does not go through. I did very little in the cleaning area, and am a bit more comfortable with others doing that part. The inside has a couple of water lines, but no heavy sediment, etc. They may be a couple of surface rubs in a tight group of threee, near the flowers. Possibly a bit of silver color to them, I left them as they are, not so severe that they are worth risking damage to the piece. The only other thing I see is right on the rim. I tried to enhance that part, it shows much lighter in the photo than actual and it looks like a hairline gap in the pottery and possibly a miss w color is concerned. If it is other, I don't see it, that is the appearance. The texture on this piece is wonderful, creamy smooth and lovely colors. I have no idea of the age, it is my hope you have reference books or knowledge of that, I just don't know. Again, it is heavy, over 8 lbs. and I am going to pay anything over the posted shipping fee for priority mail. It is approx. the same as a ground or parcel fee and since this will ship over-size, I will take care of the difference. It will reach you more quickly and will be very well packed to prevent any damage. Shipping will be $20.00 priority mail and I provide dleivery confirmtation. I will be happy to answewr what questions I can, from Oct. 11 on. Thanks for your patience and for looking.__No reserve or handling fee. Winning bidder paya shipping/optional insurance, in USA only, please. Email exchange within 3 days (please check spam) and payment in USD by cashier's check, money order or paypal, due within 7 days of auction end.
