This is a lovely silver cylinder key wind pocket watch with silver dial, made around 1880 and coming in a lovely original old brass Victorian watch stand. This watch has just come back from my watch maker and is therefore in a perfect working condition.
The lovely silver dial has golden Roman numerals, blue steel hands and a lovely floral decoration to the centre of the dial and around the numerals. The dial is signed: W. Veal Bath, Swiss Made. The watch is lying in a silver 935 beautiful all engraved open faced case. The back of the case is still monogram free for you to personalize this watch for yourself or for your friend. The inside of the case is signed by its maker: DF & C., is stamped 935 for silver, has silver hallmarks and is numbered: 228033. All the same details can be found on the inside of the silver cuvette, showing this to be all original. The cylinder key wind movement is in a perfect working condition, with the added bonus of just been serviced and cleaned by my watch maker. It is signed: DF & C. It is very exclusive to have a watch with the case and watch maker the same person. This watch is coming in a lovely original old brass Victorian watch stand. The watch stand is in a very good condition, with a bevelled glass. The red lining on the inside is worn, which shows that this stand has been used throughout the years. Signed: DF & C., Diameter: 33mm, Dimensions of stand: approx. 8cm x 7cm x 6cm, circa: 1880. All in all this is a lovely watch in a lovely stand, just the right addition to your lovely collection!!! I have been in the antique watch business for the last twenty years. It started of as a hobby and the love for nice watches. With the time it picked up from hobby to a full time business. Hence it is a business, but it has not taken away my love and respect for every watch individually.
