WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE ART DECO TEASET. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a very good weight and very special being so nice. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely hallmarked silver teaset of excellent gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear on all pieces. They are a truly wonderful 20th century provincial lot well worth owning. Their condition is terrific and they have been used seldom. The hallmarks are carefully struck on the side of each item. Each piece is fabulous and they are way too good to just melt. Each is assayed in Birmingham and dated 1938 (year letter O).They all have a makers' mark for very good makers Adie Bros. The set's octagonal design is pleasing on the eye. This is a lovely antique lot and a must have. A really delightful set! The teapot weighs 578 grams.Its diameter is quite large at 10.25 inches and its height 6.625 inches. The sucriere weighs 164 grams.It is 5.875 inches across and 3.25 inches in height. The cream jug weighs 138 grams.It is 5.625 inches in length and 3.25 inches high. These lovely pieces are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Weight of actual silver is a sublime 880 grams (28.30 troy ounces),each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout.
