Lovely Tall Pair Of Antique Austrian Majolica States----Estate Find! The shipping & handling costs posted for this item include the insurance up to $500.00. Sorry, we are forced to do it this way as we can not afford to pay for each buyer's insurance. This is a lovely pair of antique Austrian Majolica statues that came from a old Ohio estate sale. These are tall and robust antique figurines, and they appear to be made by a quality Austrian Factory during the late part of the 19th C., around the 1890's. Good attention to detail, and the size is just incredible. The male statue measures approximately 17.5'' tall, and is about 8'' in width. The female statue measures approximately 18'' tall, and is about 9'' in width. The male statue is impressed marked: BU, 8013. The female statue is marked: BU, 8014. The male figurine also has script #2200, with a small initial of "SD" located on the base. The female had a script # at one time , but it has worn off. The overall condition for the age and the fragile nature is good. But please observe, both statues are not in perfect condition. Both of the male statues hands and parts of the lower arms have old repairs, and the flower bouquet he is holding is also partially missing as pictured. Small chips throughout the male piece, that is to be expected. The face, body, legs, and the base are in good order, with wear commensurate with the age. The female statue has a old age line located on the base, but her overall condition is fine. Pretty face, legs and body are fine with wear commensurate with the age. Maybe a few small spots that is certainly to be expected. This antique pair of statues have been together a long time, and are definitely worthy of your attention. Outstanding workmanship on this pair offered at a reasonable price. A sweet fresh to the market estate sale find, that you will just love. Please ask questions before you bid. Shipping and handling with required insurance is $31.95 to the 48 States. BU stands for the brothers urbach who made these in pre world war one austria now the czech republic, Ask about our easy layaway terms.
