Vintage Hand-Painted Ceramic Dresser Tray Limoges, France Size: approx. 15 5/16 in. x 6 5/16 in. Weight: approx. 1 lb. 4 oz. Description: You are bidding on a lovely Castel Limoges French porcelain dresser tray measuring approximately 15 5/16 inches by 6 5/16 inches and weighing approximately 1 pound 4 ounces. The tray is in white porcelain with small, raised oblong "handles" on either end and a gilt band around the rim. The charming pattern presents a large central spray of tiny flowers in shades of blue with white centers and green leaves flecked with yellow, all against pale grey shadows on a white ground. Three smaller floral sprays in the same colors are scattered on either side of the center. The flowers and leaves are hand-painted on the gray transferware shadow leaves. Note: The darkest blue of the flowers is much deeper than shown in the photos. (My photographic skills are modest). Marks: Deep olive Limoges Castel porcelain mark. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Pattern fresh and clear; no chips, cracks, crackling, crazing or other signs of damage and/or repair. The only sign of any use is some slight wear to isolated spots on the gilt band. TERMS OF SALE This vintage item is offered in the condition described above and shown in the pictures.
