Vintage Heavy, Metal Eagle Bird Car Mascot with outstretched wings Mounted on a Chrome Plated (I think) Car Radiator Cap. I am sorry but I do not know what metal the Eagle is or what make of car it has come from. I'm afraid I don't know the age of the piece but it certainly looks to be an old mascot and has lots of character. It is heavy (weighing approx. 765g on my kitchen scales) and the sculpture is of a good quality. It is a well-modelled piece and the definition of the feathers and features of the eagle is very good. The eagle itself measures approx. 6.5 inches across its wings and approx. 3.5 inches from beak to tail. The radiator cap measures approx 9cm in diameter with the threaded part of the cap underneath measuring approx 58mm (measured from inside edge to inside edge) The eagle itself is in excellent condition with no damage that I can see. However, the radiator cap has some minor scuffs and the chrome plate has started to corrode a very tiny bit on the section where the eagle is mounted. I've now added another photo showing very approximate measurements of the radiator cap. Also, the eagle is actually "welded" into the radiator cap inside underneath. Hopefully, this was obvious from the photo but thought I ought to mention it just in case it wasn't.
