Hello. Here we have a fantastic vintage wind up clockwork toy. An original Western Germany D.B.G.M. Panda bear with symbols. I believe it could be a Max Carl Original No. 567. It dates somewhere around 1940's/50's! The box still has great colour, with beautiful artwork of a band of various animals- the panda bear included! The box is very tidy for its age, it has the odd sign of age and handling with some light wear and some tape to small areas but it is in very good order overall, still has lovely print and is nice and sturdy! The toy itself is just tremendous, I love it! It has a fur body with plastic eyes and nose and metal symbols. It has so much character and it comes alive when you turn the key. The mechanism is wonderfully smooth and works perfectly. As soon as you pop him back down on a surface he bobs up and down and plays those symbols with such character, it cant help but make you smile! A joyful toy that would take pride of place on any collectors shelf! Thanks for looking from all aboard The Time Train...Finding on your behalf! !
