NO RESERVE ~4.5 inches tall An elegantly shaped hand-potted vase with a rich red and cream colored oxblood glaze. The vase has substantial weight for its size. T are two inner rim chips, both repaired (see photos), but otherwise in excellent condition. The base is marked with an "A" inside a circle, and the letters "hlt." I found this vase recently in an antique shop in Milwaukee. I am not familiar with American (or European) art pottery and have been able to find only two names associated with the "A" enclosed-in-a-circle mark seen on the present vase: J. & J.G. Low Art Tile Company and Louise Abel of Rookwood. I don't know whether this vase was made by either one of them, and I'm not sure what "hlt" stands for. I'll leave it up to the viewers to decide. The vase will be professionally packed and shipped to ensure safe arrival. If you have any questions, or would like to see additional photos, please don't hesitate to contact me.
