This neon sign really rocks! It was made by the Universal Electric Sign Co. in Maspeth, NY for the Lowenbrau brewery brand. Lowenbrau is a brewery in Munich, Germany that dates to c. 1383. The word means "lion's brew" in German. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the largest beer manufacturer in the world, currently owns the brewery, which makes most of its beer according to the Reinheitsgebot, the Bavarian regulation for quality beer made in 1516. The photographs show the voltage for the item. The stand can rest on a hard surface or hang from a wall. A simple pull chain turns the lights on and off. This beer sign is a must have for any collector of breweriana.L: 27 3/4 in. (70.5 cm)W: 5 3/4 in. (14.6 cm)H: 22 3/4 in. (57.8 cm)Cord Length: Approximately 5 ft.
