The Item: we present to you we present to you a Dresden Meissen Continental Porcelain Fabulous Figural Group with an excellent story encompassed in it. We think it is French and dates to the early 19 th century. We cannot identify the mark, unfortunately, but the work is exquisite, in a Meissen manner, and absolutely comparable to Meissen . It is a large group of courting male and female musicians and behind them is probably their son with a dog wearing the manâe(tm)s hat, probably learning/practicing tricks as the next act will be the boy and dogâe(tm)s performance before the aristocratic crowd. The man and woman (probably married) both view the stand holding the book of notes that comprises the central axis.
