ITEM: You are bidding on an original and vintage linen backed art deco poster by Erte, created for the 1982 season of the Follies Bergere. This is a wonderfully colorful art deco envisioning of a nude showgirl as seahorse, with all of the whimsy and art nouveau inspired enchanting free flowing organic forms Erte excelled at. This has been professionally linen backed and is in a perfect state of preservation, it is a great find by one of our favorite artists. T was a renewed interest in the phenomenal Erte in 1982, which was the year of his 90th birthday, (when he was still going strong as an artist, some of his most recognizable imagery dates to that era), and this is a magnificient example of why he has remained such a popular artist.
