Vintage Japanese brass and cloisonné vase, measuring approximately 12" high, with a diameter of 9" at its widest point. The brass is finely etched with various patterns, decorated with large raised Japanese characters, patterns, and chrysanthemums, many of which are cloisonné. The vase has two birds head (at least that's what they look like) handles. I don't know how old it is; just that it came from the estate of a woman who traveled a great deal. It is impressed Made in Japan on the bottom. Definitely has some age, the brass has a wonderful patina. I haven't cleaned it at all. Very pretty three dimensional piece.
