This is a letter from, and originally signed by the Holy Rabbi of Lubavitch, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn. The letter is directed to Rabbi Avraham Paris [a chassid whose life revolved around his devotion to three Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbes]. The Rabbi warns that although their resignation is accepted, however they shouldn't neglect a work position by the Rebbe Rayatz [he was the founder of Kfar Chabad]. And he clarifies once and for all, that one who resigns from his position, has no permission to talk on behalf of the institution he formerly represented as if he were still in position. IT'S ENOUGH WITH THEIR PLAYING AND POLITICS AGAINST THE "SHVER" [father-in-law] WHO AFTER ALL WAS THE FOUNDER OF THE TOWN, AND IS STILL HEADING IT NOW. The Rabbi refers also to an unfortuante event on Simchat Torah, w violence was involved. The Rebbe complains that he has already many times written to the men and women of the town about the utmost necessity of peace and unity, AND MY WORDS WERE NOT ACCEPTED UNTIL NOW.. The Rebbe refers to the upcoming days of Chanukah and requests that the light of Chassidus be added progressively [like the lights of Chanukah are added continually like the verdict of Bet Hillel] in all Chabad institutions The Chabad-Lubavitch village in Israel, Kfar Chabad, was founded by the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, on Iyar 21 of 1949. The first settlers were mostly recent immigrants from the Soviet Union, survivors of the terrors of World War II and Stalinist oppression. Kfar Chabad, which is located about five miles south of Tel Aviv and includes agricultural lands as well as numerous educational institutions, serves as the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidic movement in the Holy Land judaica rabbi hebrew jewish judaika judaism bible torah gemarah ebraica ebreo palestine hebraica hebreo israel
