Lucas Valley Dairy was founded by Irish immigrant Frank Patrick Grady who bought Lucas Valley Ranch in 1922. The dairy began operation in l925 and during World War II, supplied milk and other dairy products to Hamilton Field by purchasing secondhand trucks and refitting them to carry milk. The dairy was sold in 1962 to California Cooperative Creamery. Frank's son, Bob, who worked at the diary from age 16, celebrated his 96th birthday in 2007. This amber quart square milk bottle is in excellent condition; embossed around the base with One Quart Liquid 4. Bottom has the #3994, capital letter V 61. Lettering is in perfect condition. Measures 9" tall; 12" around with a 1 1/4" opening. A great addition to your collection.
