This is a nice clean No. 515 Lufkin depth micrometer. It's in very good working condition with no owner's names on it. The base of the micrometer is marked "LUFKIN NO. 515 SAGINAW MICHIGAN MADE IN U.S.A." The base is 5 inches long, .001" increments, 1" travel per each rod. All 9 rods are in good++ condition, also comes with a good calibration wrench. The micrometer and all it's rods are in fine condition, with no appoligies. The solid 2 pc. wood box looks very good the "LUFKIN" pressed stamp in the wood cover outside, center. There is some minor scratches in a few small areas on the box. There is a slight grain seperation in the bottom of the box, causing a slight misalignment of the wood in that area running about 3" long with the grain, so the base is still very solid and aligns with the top hardware just fine. (solid boards sometimes do split along the grain due to very dry conditions, I believe this to be the case as I see no sign of the box being dropped or mis-treated in any way). In very good working condition overall!
