For auction is an original measuring device for luftwaffe flight equipment, probably something with radio contact between airplanes. The BAL and the number indicates the use in the German Airforce during WWII. BAL is BauAufsichtLuftwaffe or Bau Amt Luftwaffe. Not really sure how this thing works. The cable can be pulled out of the case. The oak box is really nice and made to last. No reserve auction, shipment will be around US $ 40,00 for most destinations as this is a heavy item.
