ca 1816-1825, in cherry with poplar secondary wood. The hood has a broken-arch pediment with carved rosettes, turned finials, 4 fully turned columns, and a tombstone door with old, wavy glass. The waist has a cockbeaded door and fluted quarter-columns, and the paneled base has fluted stiles and turned feet. Works are a 30-hour wooden movement with the original polychrome-painted dial with flowers in the spandrels and dial arch and L. WATSON CINCINNATI inside the chapter ring. second hand dial above center with tumbling Arabic numerals and calendar dial below center with again with tumbling Arabic numerals. Retains original tin can weights and pendulum; 98` high x 17` wide x 10.25` deep.
