This auction is for a sterling silver flatware set made by Lunt in the Modern Victorian pattern. This set was patented in 1941. T are a total of 59 pieces all in good to very good estate condition. T are NO MONOGRAMS. Included in this set are the following: 12 dinner forks: 7 3/8", approx. 1.47 troy ounces each, total weight = 17.56 troy. 16 individual salad forks: 6 1/2", approx. 1.13 troy each, total weight 18.64 troy 8 teaspoons: 6", 1.13 troy each, 9.06 troy total 8 hollow sterling handle (stainless blade) butter knives: 6 1/4", 1.31 gross troy, 10.9 gross troy total 12 hollow sterling handle, stainless blade knives: 9", 2.35 gross troy ounces each, 28.21 total gross troy 1 large slotted serving spoons: 8 3/8", 2.08 troy 1 gravy ladle: 5 7/8", 1.95 troy 1 hollow sterling handle (stainless blade) cheese server: 7", 1.55 gross troy ounces Total weight of solid sterling items (everything except for dinner knives) = 49.29 troy ounces. Total gross weight of the sterling handled items is 39.11 gross troy ounces. All pieces are in good to very good condition (lightly used estate condition). The set needs a really good polish. One of the knives has a fairly large ding on the end of the sterling handle (see third picture above),and the handle is loose on the cheese server. Otherwise everything else shows signs of light use (small surface scratches and marks consistant with light use and polishing). This set does not come with a case, however I do have an exceptional large antique quarter sawn oak case available for purchase (turn of the century).
