Up for bid is a fine Lyn St. James sterling and 14K gold checkered flag brooch. The pin is 1 3/8" wide and weighs 7 grams. It is formed as an open checkered flag in sterling with a swooping ridge of 14K yellow gold across the top. According to Ms. St. James, the brooches were made by award-winning Indianapolis jeweler Steve Wright as a fundraiser for her foundation. They were sold in the mid-1990s. It is marked ".925" and "14_" on the back, with the W maker's mark.
Condition on the piece is good. There is no damage, just normal light wear. A fine piece of jewelry and a special racing collectible! I accept most forms of payment; please contact me for details.
