This is an impressive, vintage Pottery Bowl created by well known West Coast potter, LYNN BOWERS of Oregon. This piece is hand-signed by the Artist, a graduate of the Portland Museum Art School, and student of Marguerite Wildenhain, master potter from the Bauhaus, while attending Pond Farm Workshops of California between 1962-1980. She has, and continues to operate the Fox Hollow Pottery in Eugene, Oregon since 1971. Its dominant glaze colors and deep, incised textural lines range from a Rust Brown to Charcoal Black, accented by a speckled Oatmeal interior and rim. It measures 7 & 3/4" in diameter, tapers to a base diameter of 4 & 3/4", and is 3 & 7/8" deep. As evident in photo #5, it has 2 chips to its exterior rim's edge, one measuring 3/8" in length & the other 3/4" in length. However, this does not seem to compromise its integrity. It is otherwise in great condition, and displays beautifully! Check out our other items this week for more Mid-20th Century Modern housewares.
