Excellent condition Martin Hardsocg Imperial brand oilwick cap lamp. Lamp is stamped: IMPERIAL (under a crown) M. HARDSOCG PITTSBURG, PA. IMPERIAL was a brand name used on Hardsocg's top line of miner's picks, hammers, coal drills and other mining tools. The IMPERIAL name is also found on the Hardsocg carbide cap lamp. The IMPERIAL name is found on very few Hardsocg oilwicks, making it an uncommon and desirable name. Hardsocg ( pronounced hard-sock ) was headquartered in Ottumwa, Iowa and had facilities in Pittsburg, PA and West Virginia. No dents, no rust pitting. Small face-size lamp with double wall spout.
