R.M.S OLYMPIC Ceramic Swimming Pool Floor Tile.This Floor Tile came from R.M.S. OLYMPIC. It was bought by William Charles Dann a Shipwright at Palmers Shipyard in 1935.Shipyard employees were given the opportunity to purchase certain items from Olympic.William Charles Dann decided to purchase a quantity of these tiles.These tiles remained in the family until recently when his Grand-daughter decided to sell them.There will be a letter of Providence from the Grand-Daughter for the Tile.There will also be a short history of Olympics service and of the time the fittings were installed at the Haltwhistle Paint Factory Offices. These tiles were used on her ill fated sister ship TITANIC and examples can be seen in photos of the wreck site This example is the nearest thing to owning a piece of Titanic without spending a Queens ransom.This will make an excellent addition to any White Star Line collection. OLYMPICS service began in 1911 and She became known as "Old Reliable"Her fittings now are true antiques.
