Makes the tightening job easy. This handy little tool is carefully machined to very tight tolerances on computerized equipment from an extremely tough, virtually unbreakable hard synthetic material that makes tightening your upper handguard liner and ferrule super easy. Eliminate that annoying rattle and loose metal. Helps when you install a liner in a new handguard without worry of damage. The tool consists of two parts; a lower base that fits into the bottom of the handguard, and an upper punch that fits in the upper channel with the ferrule and liner in place. Rest the base on an even surface then give a sharp tap of the hammer to the top punch bending the tabs of the liner snug against the ferrule. No danger of scratching or maring the metal with a screwdriver,pliers or other metal type tool. Unique upper top punch has two slots, one at 45 and the other at 90 degrees that helps make straightening the tabs on a used metal liner easy before use.
