M1 Garand SA Milled Trigger Guard World War II Version as Manufactured by Springfield Armory (SA) Up for auction is a great example of an M1 Garand milled trigger guard as manufactured by Springfield Armory during WWII.
This trigger guard was probably refinished and the condition is excellent with a virtually perfect very dark gray black satin finish. T is a small capital C stamped inside the guard circle. Both lugs are slightly flattened from use but the guard locks up tight in at least three of my Garands. This trigger guard would be appropriate to restoreSpringfield Armory produced M1 Garand rifles with receiver serial numbers from about 425,000 to 3,000,000. It would also make an excellent replacement trigger guard and would be a very easy way to enhance the appearance of any M1 Garand.
