It was patterned after Springfield Armory WW II stock- slimmer profile which is not oversized and bulky compared to other commercial offering; this is a nice looking stock to compliment your M1 Garand. The excellent USGI metals parts are all included and installed for your ease of installation. This set features a distinctive unique grained American black walnut and the handguards are perfectly, meticuluosly matched, treated with boiled linseed oil satin finish and applied a bees wax with orange oil. This is approved for all M1 Garand Matches. If your Garand that had a beat up stock and you have a plan to replace the wood, this is your best choice to upgrade- to give a new life.
