This is an Original UNCUT Springfield Armory M1 or M1D Garand Op Rod with spring. Appears to have been installed or had very little use Piston head has a very smooth and shinny finish. What you see in the photo is a reflection of the counter top. According to the 3rd edition of the M1 Garand book by Joe Poyer and Craig Riesch this rod was produced up through WWII. All Rods after WWII had a radiusd cut. This rod does not have the radiusd cut. So for your WWII rifle this would be a correct op rod. The drawing number is D35382 9 SA I am also including a new spring. Lower 48 only. Will not ship internationally. Piston head measures .526 This is a straight side op rod. If your rifle serial number falls between 2,250,000 and 3,850,000 then this rod would be correct for your Garand. US Postal money order only if not using PayPal..... I prefer PayPal.
