Remington manufactured bayonet for the WWI British P14 rifle. The P14 was later made in the US, with some changes, as the M1917 Rifle by Remington. Some of the Remington bayonets for the P14 contract were diverted to US use - this is one. Markings on ricasso are "1913/6 17/Remington in circle", obverse has British proofs stamped out and 'US' stamped. Nice condition, hilt has probably 90% original blue, grips exc+. Has the blue on ricasso, changing to gray finish on blade. Blade is Exc to VG+ - only problem is some light sharpening or cleaning, not significant, and minor nicks, but looks good, some scabbard wear on high points. Scabbard is exc - the rare one with the tab. Marks are not clear, but this is the "Jewell" pattern. Most black on the metal and green on the body. This is a very rare combo - send me questions.
