M67Fragmentation Hand Grenade Container This Vietnam War era canister was stored in a USMC magazine on the island of Okinawa Japan . The actual M67 grenade was finally utilized during a training session in 1994. LETTERING ON CANISTER. Large font on canister side: COMP B LOT LS-56-463DSmall font on canister side: 1 GRENADE HAND FRAG DELAY M67 W/FUZE M213 Note: The M213 fuse had a 4 to 5 second delayStamped on the top metal end: CONTAINER M415A1 MCR 2-75 TOP FF Stamped on the bottom metal end: CONTAINER M415A1 MCR 2-75 FFNote: I’m guessing the 2-75 is the date stamp. MEASUREMENTS: 4 3/8" Tall by 3 1/8" in diameter CONSTRUCTION: Canister is made of stiff paper board with pressed metal ends. VERY COOL BONUS: This canister still has the distinct smell of the M67 grenade.
