This excellent condition M7 bayonet is the type with the two piece checkered black plastic grips held by two screwbolts. The bayonet is marked on the crossguard with U.S. M7 and GENCUT for the manufacturer General Cutlery Co. and is the standard parkerized version. . It does not appear to have ever been issued. General Cutlery Co. of Fremont, Ohio is one of the lowest production manufacturers of the M7 bayonet and the bayonets are scarce and not found nearly as often as the large production manufacturer's like MILPAR, BOC and IMPERIAL. The bayonet does not appear to have been used and t are only drag marks on the blade from being inserted and removed from the scabbard. The green plastic scabbard Marked USM8A1 / TWB is not in the same condition as the bayonet. The scabbard is in used good condition with some soiling and wear of the green canvas hanger. The snap on the retaining strap works properly. I do not accept bids from or ship to Asian Countries or Italy, Japan or Spain due to customs and postal problems. Please do not bid if your country will not allow bayonets thru customs. Bidders from foreign countries must pay for the item using PAYPAL or International Money Order only. No exceptions. Please see all photos for conditon and bid accordingly. This is an excellent bayonet and makes a great display item. Insurance is required and is the responsibility of the buyer. Seller will not be held responsible for damage or loss in the postal system or customs. No Reserve on this bayonet. Let the bidding begin.
