This beautiful and well-thought-out package was done in honor of the 53rd Anniversary of MAC TOOLS CO., one of the best tool manufacturers in the country. The package consists of knife, American walnut wood display case, Certificate of Authenticity, and a gold colored placard of which I could not get a good picture. The front of the blade reads: MAC TOOLS with 1938 in front of it and 1991 to the right. Stamped into the tang is GERBER. Stamped into the tang on the other side is Portland, OR - 97223 U.S.A. The blade is 2-1/2 inches long. The handle is 3-1/4 inches and is 3/8ths inch thick. I mention the thickness so that you will know this is certainly not some cheap knife you would find in a cereal box. This baby exudes quality from every molecule in it. The 4 bolsters are brass and satinized. On the front is a brass inlay of MAC Tools and a truck which brings these wonderful tools to the people who need them. The back of the handle is walnut with "53 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE" laser etched into the wood. The larger bolster has etched into it 1054/6000. The numbers are all precisely etched to the same depth.
