P R O M O T I O N Macedonian Air Force - 501 Parashute Assault Detachment Original Personalized 501. Para Coy Beret with Patch After the secession from SFRJ, Macedonia formed it's own Air Force according to the order of the President on 10 April 1992, and it encompassed an airborne brigade with jet, transport and fighter squadron. At that particular moment, Macedonian Air Force didn't had any aircraft. The first Mi-17 transport helicopters were received on 28 June 19 The Air Force had big responsibility during the conflict in 2001 and in that period the majority of today's aircraft were obtained (Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-24, UH-1H Helicopters and Su-25 Jets). In that time was formed "501 Air Assault Detachment" from very skilled active and reserve paratrooper and total number was about 135 officer and soldiers. This Parachute Unit has very short history and last only 15 months when in 2002 were dissolved. 101 Aviation Squadron Su-25 201 Fighter Helicopter Squadron Mi-24V 301 Transport Helicopter Squadron Mi-8, Mi-17, UH-1 401 Training Squadron Zlin 143L/242L 501 Air Assault Detachment Beret. This particular beret with this beret patch was worn by member of the 501 Parachute Detachments (501. Para Coy) Aleksandar Stojanovski-Smote ( 3.556 Para Jumps) during the conflict in Macedonia in 2001. Unique! Only 200 produced! Shipping
