Macey / Globe Wernicke Stacking Barrister Bookcase Desk Offered for auction from a local estate auction is this desk unit from a barrister bookcase. T is no indication if it was made by Macey or Globe Wernicke, but it will stack up correctly with either maker on "D" size bookcases. This desk is mahogany and appears to be the original finish. It is 34" wide and 11 1/2" at the bottom. It measures 14 1/2" tall. The lock is missing. The finish is in nice condition with only minor scratches and scuffs. Both medal side straps are t, and the back is in nice condition....as you can see from the photo. T is one stain on the interior, perhaps something was spilled t I haven't tried to do anything to it...for fear of damaging the original finish. This unit will ship via Fed. Ex. so a physical address is necessary. If you'd like to add an original desk unit to your stacking barrister bookcase....'s your chance! They are extremely useful for hiding the daily mail and using as a bill paying center. Take a look at my other stuff listed this week! PLEASE BE SURE TO READ MY TERMS carefully and please e-mail if you have any questions prior to placing a bid. Terms are non-negotiable, so if you can not honor them, please refrain from bidding. Once you place a bid, you are entering into a contractual agreement which includes the following: Payment Methods and Terms: I ship only to the United States. We accept cashier's checks, money orders, and personal checks. A US Postal Money Order is the preferred payment. A personal check is fine, but we don't ship until after bank clearing, which can be from 5 to 10 days. Pay Pal may be used under special circumstances with an additional fee, arrangements must be made prior to bidding. Buyer is to email within 48 hours with the payment method and their shipping address. Please do not ask me to "End the Auction" so you may purchase the item....this defeats the auction process and is not fair to all bidders. I have items in store inventory that are listed with "Buy it Now" prices, so take a look at those items. Payments and Discounts for Multiple Items: To be eligible for any combined shipping discounts: after making your first purchase, do not checkout but please notify us immediately of your intent to make multiple purchases - we will then wait until you notify me that all purchases have been made. Then, we will determine the minimum shipping requirements and will send you a combined invoice for the best shipping method available. REMEMBER: please be patient and wait for a combined invoice with all items purchased. This is carefully done manually in order to 1) keep our costs down, 2) reduce your cost of shipping, and 3) reduce any chance of shipping errors or delays. Payment MUST be received as follows: AUCTION PURCHASES must be paid for within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are made to avoid relisting and non-paying bidder reports to eBay. STORE PURCHASES and ' BUY IT NOW ' PURCHASES must be paid for within 7 days to claim your item. Otherwise, it may be up for grabs - your bid may be cancelled and the item returned to inventory, and someone may still buy it.Shipping and Handling: When payment arrives we will ship within 3 Business days. We use a professional shipper to insure the item is packed correctly to avoid damage during shipping. ( Check our feedback to see the numerous positive comments on the quality of the packing.) Small items are shipped via USPS. The auction listing will describe the shipping method in most instances. Large items are shipped via Fed. Ex. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you choose to ship with Insurance . If you choose not to insure your shipment, you accept full responsibility if the item is lost or damaged during shipping. No exceptions, no refunds . The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and insurance charges. We are not responsible for items once they are dropped off at the shipper. Fed Ex. insures all shipments up to $100 for free. T is an additional charge...
