This is an actual industrial mold that would have been used in a factory that manufactured plastic dolls of all sorts. If you measure from the top of the loop to the toes the baby is about 20" long and about 8" across at the outstreched hands.. The supports for this mold are a ferrous metal that has surface rusting and pitting. The mold itself may have been lined with a teflon like material to help in the extraction process of the manufacturing. It would somehow produce a seamless body that would have had to be extracted through the neck opening. There are many years of accumulated gunk built up on the exterior surface; some of it is dirt, some of it natural patina and so forth. It would make an industrial decorative steam punk splash on a pedestal or shelf or as an element of an artistic sculpture. It would need some help in standing up, maybe a stand or base could be made for it. As is, with an uncleaned un-treated surface & it weighs nearly 6 lbs w/o packing materials. Thank you!
